As part of the regular inspection visits carried out by the staff of Najaf Centre to assess the wellbeing of needy families registered with the centre, the staff visited the family of Mrs Suhaila Falik in Radhawiya district.

Suhaila’s  husband is a brick layer.   He suffers ongoing back problems due to a slipped disc which has caused nerve damage.  In spite of his problem he is still working to provide for his family.

Suhaila and her husband and their family of 9 members live in a single room which is also used as a kitchen and a bathroom.  Besides existing in these very cramped living conditions,  they are in desperate need of the following:

1. A fridge which costs £150 (approx IQD 285,000)
2. A cooker £100 (approx IQD 190,000)
3. Air cooler £125 (approx IQD 237,500)
4. Washing Machine £100 (approx IQD 190,000)
5. A fan £30 (approx IQD 57,000)
