Staff from Sadr Citizens’ Care and Advice Centre visited Mrs. Afaf Thagil Hanash, who is living in poverty and suffering from a disease.

Afaf suffers from a number of illnesses – heart disease, brain dysfunction and a disfigured right hand.  She lives under difficult living conditions together with her elderly mother after they were abandoned by the father.  Her brother also suffers from quadriplegia.

This destitute family does not have any financial resources.  They cannot even afford to buy their simple day to day requirements or find money to pay for their medical needs.

This family desperately needs: -

- Monthly sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) to pay for their medical requirements..

- An emergency financial assistance of 100,000 IQD (approx. £70) to cover their immediate needs.

This poor Iraqi lady, burdened with disease and poverty, seeks the support of benevolent people to help provide some of the family’s basic needs so that they can preserve their dignity.
