Najla Ahmed Mahmoud, lives with her sick husband and her four children (aged 1-9 years) in a small village belonging to her husband's family.  They live in a delapidated home lacking basic facilities and in urgent need of repairs to the roof.

This mother has a brain tumour, whilst her husband Essam suffers from a kidney disease which renders him unable to work consistently.  Their eldest daughter was diagnosed with a malignancy, and died as a result thereof.

Najla works hard as a tailor in order to pay for food as well as medication for her husband and their youngest daughter, Rehana al-Zahraa, who is suffering from acute pneumonia (due to the extreme cold in the house and the leaking roof). Two of the children attend school and are in need of school provisions in order to continue.

This needy family needs: -

- Sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (Approx £30) for Rehana’s medication and treatment.

- Ongoing monthly medical sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (Approx £30) for the treatment of her husband Essam.

- A donation of 350,000 IQD (Approx £210) to buy a refrigerator and cooker.

- A donation of 300,000 IQD (Approx £180) to buy a sewing machine so that Najla can earn more to support her family.
